One Academy Defensive Tactics

0900-1200 Class
1200-1300 Lunch
1300-1600 Class
This 2 day, 12 hour course will cover techniques from Standing, Closing the distance, Takedowns, Ground Control and Arrest techniques. Class will be taught by head instructor, Carlos Mendez with assistance from Level 1 certified Officers in a positive learning environment.
OADT is taught by former Law Enforcement Officer and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, Professor Carlos Mendez. Assisting with training will be retired Columbus SWAT Officer Oscar Singer and retired Army First Sergeant Robert Rittenhouse.
Open to Law Enforcement/Probation/Corrections/EMS/Fire personnel only. Must show valid credentials
No prior experience or training required
Comfortable clothing with no zippers or embellishments that may damage the mats
Nylon duty belt required
No shoes allowed in training area
Cost is $499 per Officer. Includes OADT Level 1 Certificate of completion (which is required in order to participate in Level 2) and OADT t-shirt.
Class will be capped at 30 Participants.
Note: This course is 100% independent from OPOTA. Although we have several Agencies sending a couple of their Officers through, we understand not all Agencies will do this and will want their Officers to pay out of pocket. For those in that particular situation, we feel your pain and would like to offer a money back guarantee.
